110mm Rockwool Rainscreen Duo Slab is a non-combustible stone wool insulation product developed to resist rain-ingress within ventilated cladding/seal systems.
The key feature of this product is its dual-density composition. The outer layer features a higher-density than the inner layer as well as a robust moisture-resistant agent. This endows the slabs with their moisture-resistant "Rainscreen" properties.
The resilient inner face offers standard acoustic and thermal properties while also accommodating difficult or uneven substrates. When butted together, adjacent slabs marry to provide continuous thermal performance and sound absorption.
Furthermore, the slabs feature a non-directional fibre orientation that gives the composition dimensional stability, leading to a reduction in maintenance over the life of the project.
Overall, the 110mm Rockwool Rainscreen Duo Slab is an effective insulant for both thermal and acoustic comfortability that is committed to providing sustainable methods of production. Furthermore, Rockwool's environmental consciousness extends from methods of production to their products which are approximately 97% recyclable.
110mm Rockwool Rainscreen Dual Density
Rockwool has named its thermal and acoustic insulation slab enhancement technology 'Dual Density'. Essentially, this is because the outer layer is more dense than that of the rest of the body.
The higher-density outer layer is capable of withstanding higher temperatures and increases the durability of the product, while the resilient inner face offers acoustic and thermal properties.
What's more, the outer layer is coated with a water-repellent face providing the slabs with a robust outer surface and moisture-resistance that grants them with their product title 'Rainscreen'.

110mm Rockwool Rainscreen Duo Slab is purposed for either sealed systems such as curtain walling, or specifically, ventilated cladding systems. The product is also suitable for steel or timber frames, and walls in conjunction with cladding.

110mm Rockwool Rainscreen Duo Slab Handling/Storage
Rockwool supplies the Rainscreen Duo Slab in polythene packs, wrapped in a protective layer, allowing it to be stored on-site.
The pallets are covered with a waterproof hood protecting them when stored outside.
